In order to diversify opportunities for access to knowledge and expanding the scope of formal education, community libraries have been built all over Curitiba to operate articulated to public schools, becoming reference points for cultural and leisure community. These libraries were called "Farol do Saber" or Lighthouse of Wisdom, evoking the famous Library of Alexandria. The Lighthouse of these pictures is called Miguel de Cervantes and it is located at Espanha Square.
