Paraná Public Library



The Public Library of Paraná is a cultural institution located in Curitiba and maintained by the government of Parana, which contains an archive of more than 470 thousand books, including Braille, as well as newspapers, magazines, maps, musical scores, manuscripts, vinyl records , compact discs (CD), videos, audiocassettes, filmstrips and slides, among other mídias.

It was founded on March 7, 1857 by José Antonio Vaz de Carvalho, vice president of the province of Parana.
