UFPR - Universidade Federal do Paraná

The Federal University of Parana began its activities in Curitiba on March 1913 and can therefore be considered the oldest university in Brazil.

The first courses offered were Law and Social Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Surgery, Commerce, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Obstetrics.

The picture shows the façade of the main building at Santos Andrade Square. Other important units distribuited in Curitiba like Reitoria and Centro Politécnico will appear in future posts.
